How It Works: Working With Still Poetry Photography
Every photographer operates differently. So whether you've used photographers in the past or are entirely new to the experience, let's walk through what you can expect while working with Still Poetry Photography.
Your Session. Your Memories. Your Photographs.
Let's face it. Half the reason (or maybe the only reason) you booked a session was because you wanted awesome pics for Instagram.
And we think that's great!
With some photographers, you get no digital files after paying the session fee. That's just the price of them showing up.
We don't do that here.
The price you pay for your session is the price for all the edited social media-sized digitals from your session. No caps, no withholding priceless images that should have made the cut. We don't keep amazing photos we have of your family to ourselves. You get the best of what we have. We don't do the bait and switch of a low session fee and pricey prints and no digitals. You're investing in our work and you should get the return on that investment.
The one exception to this rule is wedding and elopement photography. If you're getting married, you get the high res digitals of your photos.
If you get your photos and love them so much that you want to order prints, you can absolutely do so. Schedule a product consultation and we'll walk through every photo we took so you can choose what prints and albums to purchase. This offers you a customized, personal experience without the hassle of leaving your home. It also ensures that our photographs are printed to the quality these works of art deserve.
Session fees come with a complimentary $100 to use towards a package during your virtual product consultation.

Contact us through our website and give us as much detail about your vision as possible. Here's are some questions we'll want you to answer:

Getting this information will help us help you. We'll schedule a call so we can go through your vision for the session in detail. Ask us any questions you'd like. We're happy to help.
Once you determine that we're the perfect fit, we'll send you a booking request for you to fill out. It prompts you to sign a contract, fill out any questionnaires we need to have answered, and put down a retainer. For most sessions, the retainer is 50% of the session fee and is non-refundable. That locks in your session so that no one can take that date from you.
Within 24 hours, you get previews from our shoot together to give you a taste of what's to come. The usual turnaround time for full collections is 2 weeks for most sessions, and 3 months for weddings. If you have a specific deadline, let us know and you can pay a rush editing fee.
Product Consultation: Turning Your Photos Into Art.
Nothing makes us more sad as photographers than thinking about all the photos we've taken that are just sitting unseen on hard drives. You took the time to get all dressed up and smile for a whole session. Especially if you dragged kids along, you need to display these photos for the world to see!
We offer multiple packages that are curated with each session type in mind. With your session fee, you get $100 towards any of those packages. You can also shop off our a la carte menu as well.

If you know you want art from your session but don't want to pay for it all at once, we offer 3, 6, and 12 month pre-payment plans. You get bonus add-ons with your packages when you choose pre-payment plans. We'll go over all the details with you during your consultation call.
