A Queer, neurodivergent, woman-owned
photography company in the business of turning your life into a work of art
Love comes in many forms
define still poetry photography: the inverse of poetry in motion.
Our lives are poetry in motion.
Still Poetry Photography captures moments - the fractions of a second required to make a photograph - to tell a story. A baby falling asleep in her mother's arms. A child jumping into the crashing waves with unadulterated joy. The groom's tear drop as his partner walks down the aisle.
Existence is art. Let us tell your story.

I've been in your shoes.
You're about to hit an important milestone: wedding,, the birth of your new baby, family reunion. You need to capture that moment with photography.
The only problem? The thought of standing in front of a camera makes your skin crawl.
I've been there. I know what it's like to be anxious in front of a camera. But I'm going to make you a promise.
It's going to be okay. Taking the time to get to know your photographer will make you feel more relaxed in front of a lens. So let me tell you a few things about me.
I love animals. I live on a rescue homestead and have 2 dogs, 1 Maine coon, 3 rabbits, 2 sugar gliders, 1 bearded dragon, 2 peacocks, and 13 chickens. I love to write poetry. I'm neurodivergent and queer. I love my husband. I love empowering women. I love drawing and crafting. And most of all, I love what I do. I love taking people who are nervous in front of the camera and making them feel empowered and confident.

"My family was traveling to Delaware for vacation this summer . My husband has cancer and we wanted to commemorate the occasion with family beach pictures.
We are so very fortunate to have found Sarah and Still Poetry Photography! Sarah went above and beyond to make our experience so special. She was extremely accommodating to my husband’s physical difficulties and our 6 month old grandson’s schedule. She made us feel so comfortable and remained professional from start to finish . Her husband even came to assist and went out of his way to be sure my husband was comfortable the entire time . We are thrilled with the results and would 100% recommend Sarah and Still Poetry Photography!"
"11/10 stars actually!
Amazing, amazing, amazing! From the very first consultation through the day of the shoot Sarah H. and team were amazing at communication and keeping me in the loop with all plans and changes. I felt beautiful and awesome like a flippin' goddess during the shoot thanks to Sarah H. helping me stay outta my head, Sara G.'s stellar makeup skills and the amazing Ashes & Embers dress from the client closet. Plus the shoot location was literally picturesque.
It was an amazing day I will remember for years and years and the photos came out AMAZING (have I said amazing enough yet?) I cannot wait to get the rest of my products!"
"Sarah was an absolute DREAM to work with. I did my first boudoir shoot ever with her (something I'd wanted to try for years but never pulled the trigger on until now), and I'm SO GLAD I did. The whole experience was worth every penny. As much as it's a gift to my partner, it's also a gift to myself - I haven't felt as confident as I did shooting with Sarah in a loooong time. Sarah is so welcoming and inclusive to everyone, and she takes such care to ensure you're comfortable, never pushing you further than you want to be pushed. I was laughing the entire time, it was so fun and there was no pressure or stress at all! Couldn't have asked for a better experience, and Still Poetry Photography will my my first and only choice going forward to capture many special life moments as they come."
"Sarah was the best photographer I could’ve asked for to do my maternity package. She took my maternity pictures, birthing photos, and newborn session. Sarah went above and beyond from traveling 6 hours, to staying in the hospital till 2am while we waited for my babe to be born. She makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera and loves any idea you bring her way! The package of having all three maternity, birth, & newborn session with one photographer and already booked was well worth it!! Definitely do yourself a favor momma- your postpartum self will thank you!"
