Artist Statement
I'm not a photographer.
Yes, I have a camera. Yes, I take photos. Yes, I use that label when I file my taxes.
But I'm not a photographer. Not really.
I'm an artist. I'm the keeper of your family's legacy. I'm the magician that takes the family chaos tumbling out of an over-packed van and turns it all into a work of art.
I've watched hundreds of families go through the stress that family vacation puts on them. I take away the stress of one of the most important elements of your Delaware family vacation; making sure that those memories will last for generations to come.
Grandma won't be around forever. Your kids will grow up before your eyes.
Anyone can snap a photo. But Still Poetry Photography takes everyday moments we take for granted and turns it into a masterpiece.

The Still Poetry Photography Experience
mini sessions
HERE’S HOW MINI SESSIONS WORK!
Step 1: Head to our website and select a date (dates will be announced by May 1).
Step 2: Select your timeslot, pay the $299 retainer, sign the contract, and you’re all set! These sessions are only available on a first come, first serve basis and are only available at Cape Henlopen.
Step 3: Show up at least 10 minutes early to your session time and wait at the designated area.
Step 4: Enjoy the 20 minute session!
Step 5: Within 2 weeks, you’ll receive an email with your photos to purchase.
No photos are included in the $299, and you must purchase them separately.
Select from the limited catalog of products, including canvases, metal prints, and paper prints. You can purchase as much or as little as you like. Final price list will be provided before booking.
Digital photos are $100/photo.

HERE’S HOW SINGLE FAMILY SESSIONS WORK!
Step 1: After our consultation call, we’ll select a custom time, date, and location that best fits your family’s schedule and personalities. We take naptimes and kid temperaments into account to pick the best time that fits with everyone’s vacation.
Step 2: Pay the retainer ($349), sign the contract, select a package (starting at $899) and payment plan, and we’re all set!
Step 3: You’ll receive a wardrobe guide to help you select the best outfits for your session. We’re available for custom questions, and you can even show us photos of options you’re choosing between so we can give advice.
Step 4: We check in before the session to make sure the weather looks like it will cooperate. We make a game time call on whether or not it needs to get pushed due to the weather. We reschedule to make sure we can get the session in.
Step 5: Arrive and get ready for the best session ever! I’ll guide you through the whole session to make it fun and authentic.
Step 6: Schedule your art consultation call so we can select the photos you want to feature in your art products. You can upgrade your package at this time, or add on any a la carte products. Any photos used on an art piece will come with the accompanying high resolution digital.
Minimum investment: $349 session fee + $899 package = $1,248, 5 photos included

Step 1: After our consultation call, we’ll select a custom time, date, and location that best fits your family’s schedule and personalities. We take naptimes and kid temperaments into account to pick the best time that fits with everyone’s vacation.
Step 2: Pay the retainer ($399), sign the contract, and select your art package (starting at $450). Two families minimum must purchase an art package, and there is no maximum number of art packages. Everyone gets their own payment link and art consultation after the session. Then we’re all set!
Step 3: You’ll receive a wardrobe guide to help you select the best outfits for your session. We’re available for custom questions, and you can even show us photos of options you’re choosing between so we can give advice.
Step 4: We check in before the session to make sure the weather looks like it will cooperate. We make a game time call on whether or not it needs to get pushed due to the weather. We reschedule to make sure we can get the session in.

We have all the recommendations on beaches, time of day, wardrobe, and how to handle toddlers with 'tude. All we need you to do is tell us about your family, what your priorities for the session are, and we'll make your dream session come true.
Artistic photography is an investment in time, energy, and yes, money. We offer a wide variety of payment plans to make it more accessible, but we know that not everyone is ready for the commitment. But if you're ready to create art that will last a lifetime, we're ready for you.
I started out as a photographer because I wanted an excuse not to be in front of it. I used to absolutely hate getting my photo taken. It was an extremely nerve-wracking experience, and always brought up feelings of worthlessness and self-doubt.
But I've discovered that photography is an incredibly powerful medium when the camera is in the hands of someone who cares.
Whether you're nervous because you feel like your dog won't cooperate, you have a neurodivergent family member who needs accommodations, or you feel like you shouldn't be in front of a camera until you lose 15 pounds, I'm the photographer to help you through it. I've got you.
