Beach Family Sessions
An Experience by Still Poetry Photography
Authentic photography that celebrates real families.
No family is perfect. And no two families look the same. Here are Still Poetry Photography, we capture images that are authentic and showcase what makes your family unique. This isn't an editorial or commercial shoot. We're not looking for perfection. We're capturing joy, love, and togetherness.
"Easily the best experience with a photographer to date! She was super personable, energetic, engaging, a lot of fun and very talented. It was no easy task as she took family photos with a 4 year old and our dog. She made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the experience. She was on time, and followed through on everything she said she would do. I was so pleased with our session and final photographs, that I will continue to use her in the future. Would highly recommend her to all of our family and friends. She has an amazing eye, don’t pass up the chance to work with her!"

Beach Family Photography:
The Still Poetry Photography Experience
You've booked your Delaware beach vacation. Congratulations! You're about to experience one of the most beautiful states in the US. You've decided you want to capture memories from this family vacation and looking at our portfolio, you decided that you love our work. Reach out to us with your vacation dates and we'll get you booked.
Let's Book It
After you email us, Sarah will get back to you ASAP (sometimes within a matter of minutes). We'll talk beach recommendations and the timing that juggles both optimal lighting, naptimes, and your family's busy schedule. Once we settle on a date, time, and location, you send a request through Session, Sarah approves it, and you are good to sign the contract and send the deposit all through that site. Once we get a deposit and a signed contract, no one can take that date away from you. You are all set!
The day of your session has arrived! You don't have to worry about a single thing. Just show up with your family and Still Poetry Photography will take it from there.
We get together at our location, have an amazing time, get some incredible shots, and within 24 hours, you get previews from your session.
The Final Product
You can't rush art. We take time to carefully cull and edit your photos so you end up with a collection you'll love. Within three weeks, you'll get the final photos sent to your inbox for you to download, post, and share! You can order prints directly through Pixieset, our photosharing site. They offer canvases, metal pieces, prints, and much more. You can even order your Christmas cards through them!
Frequently asked questions:
How do I get my photos?
Once we finish editing, you'll get a downloadable collection of JPEGS to save and share sent to your email. There's no limit on how many people can download, and you don't pay extra for digitals. You can order prints right from our photo sharing site to make it as easy as possible!
How long do sessions take?
Let's face it; the length of your photo session is completely dependent on your littlest models. Some kids have 15 minutes of focus in them and that is it. Some take longer to come out of their shell. It takes the same amount of skill to capture amazing images in 15 minutes as it does in an hour. I work with your kids to make sure they're feeling happy and respected. There's no time limit other than the setting sun, so you don't have to feel rushed.
My child is very independent and doesn't always listen to direction. Will we still get good pictures?
I have worked with every type of child, from the ones who can't get enough of the camera to those who would rather be anywhere else. I pride myself in my ability to make a safe space for kids to be themselves in photos. At the end of every session, we have "playtime," where all that pent up energy gets released and we get amazing candid photos of kids playing together.
No photo is "perfect." We're not shooting a commercial campaign for Target. I capture memories, not conduct shots with rigid poses.
I especially work well with children on the spectrum and neurodivergent kids (and adults!). Their passion and excitement make the most endearing photos, in my opinion.
